Marangu Gate to Mandara Hut

Day 2
Mandara Hut to Horombo Hut

Day 3
Horombo Hut to Kibo Hut
Cross the high saddle between Mawenzi and Kibo, arriving early enough to rest for the summit attempt. Walk at a measured pace with your guide, drink regularly, and use the evening briefing to prepare for the following day.

Day 4
Summit Attempt and Descent to Horombo
Begin before dawn for the ascent to Uhuru Peak, then descend carefully to warmer air and a well-earned rest. Walk at a measured pace with your guide, drink regularly, and use the evening briefing to prepare for the following day.

Day 5
Horombo Hut to Marangu Gate
